Ditching the Spreadsheet
For two years, I tracked my trades in a complex Excel sheet. It became a daily chore—diligently logging entries, exits, and remarks, but rarely digging into the underlying data. The spreadsheet gave me a simple P&L and basic trend lines, but it fundamentally failed to answer the most critical questions: Why was I losing on specific days? Where did my true edge lie in the market? Was it my strategy, or my psychology?
I spent months searching for an advanced, affordable trading journal built specifically for the nuances of the Indian market. Everything I found was either prohibitively expensive or clunky and outdated.
Leveraging my background as an Electrical Engineer, alongside an MBA and eight years navigating complex data in Industrial Sales, I decided to build the solution myself. I knew exactly how critical data analysis is for performance improvement. I started coding a private tool designed specifically to expose my own psychological patterns, track trade execution flawlessly, and visualize risk management in real time.
